Girl in the Glass Coffin presentation by Lee Ellen Hickey

Lee Ellen Hickey presents “The Girl in the Class Coffin” on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 2pm, at the Community Room, Fulton Municipal Building (141 South First Street, Fulton).
You’re invited to a special presentation and book signing with local author Lee Ellen Hickey as she discusses her novel, The Girl in the Glass Coffin: The Tonkin Affairs. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear Lee share insights about her book, the history behind it, and her writing journey. Books will be available for purchase and signing at the event. This event is FREE and open to the public. Bring a friend and join us for an afternoon of literary, local, and fun conversation.
Born and raised in West Monroe, NY, Lee Ellen Hickey was excited to share her love of local history through her first novel–The Girl in the Glass Coffin: The Tonkin Affair. We’re looking forward to hearing Lee discuss the fascinating true story of ten-year-old Virginia Tonkin, whose tragic death spawned a legend that has been passed down for generations.
On top of being a local author, Lee is a block leader for the Oswego Renaissance Association, a member of Elim Grace Church, and also of the Oswego County Historical Society.
Interested in volunteering with the Friends for this event? We’ll need a few people to help set up and run the event. Email us at info@fofpl.org to let us know if you’re available.
