Friends hold Annual Chicken BBQ

Books and BBQ! The Friends of the Fulton Public Library will be holding a BBQ dinner 11am to 2pm (or until sold out) on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at the Fulton Polish Home, 153 W. 1st St. S., Fulton, NY.
People can support Fulton’s favorite library while satisfying their taste buds with a delicious meal from Fricken Chicken BBQ. Plus purchase dessert from the Bake Sale and take a chance on the Lotto Board Raffle. Meals include 1/2 chicken, baked beans, salt potatoes and a roll. Advance tickets are available at the library for only $13 or contact the Friends at info@fofpl.org.
Guarantee your dinner plans for the family by purchasing tickets ahead of the big event. Pre-sale dinners can be picked up until 1pm. Dinners can also be purchased at the door as long as meals are available.
The annual chicken BBQ is the library’s biggest fundraising event and this will be the first year that the friends will be sponsoring it. Proceeds from the BBQ enable the Friends to help the library in expanding programs and resources.
Friends President, Sharon Dellinger, said “We are excited to be taking on the barbecue as a fundraiser and it will be an all-hands-on-deck for the event. Look for other things like a lottery board and baked goods for sale.”
The Friends support the library through volunteerism, fundraising, and advocacy. Supporting the Friends directly supports the library in achieving their mission of promoting literacy development, community connection, and lifelong learning through equitable access to information and services.
